A keen desire to learn about fashion and apparel led to the intense undergraduate course at National Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, India. An urge to learn deeper about design and explore other avenues of fashion led to the postgraduate course of Masters of Fashion Design (Womenswear) at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Label Mudita Patel is born out of the desire to create and offer extravagant fashion reflecting ideologies of Slow Fashion, Revival and Craft & Heritage. Everything is intricately designed after an intensive design process and thoughtfully made to meet the requirements of the clients and buyers.

Contemporary fashion or re-defined silhouettes made of traditional textiles (handmade or hand woven), and using fabrics in a novel way remain the key traits of the label.

Personally, travel and experiencing various cultures is always fascinating. It gives a different dimension to perception towards things, places and people. This acculturation translates into various forms of fashion produced by the label.

I believe that Sustainability is not an option; it should be a way of life. Contemporary fashion ought to be ethical and that is what I identify with.

My motto is “To begin with, become a good human being. Everything else can follow”.
